Disney to Host Marathon Weekend 2010

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, scheduled for January 7-10, 2010, features several activities, including a 26.2-mile marathon that takes runners through all four Walt Disney World theme parks – Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Approximately 50,000 athletes are expected to attend the 2010 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which also includes a 5K race, half marathon, kids’ races, and a health and fitness expo. An added bonus during the marathon and half marathon is the appearance of Disney characters along the route (many runners also get into the Disney spirit themselves by dressing up as their favorite Disney characters!).
